Sushicez was founded by Cesar El Khoury, a man with a remarkable story of transformation. Cesar began his career with a strong foundation in science, earning expertise in the pharmaceutical industry for over a decade.

Life took an unexpected turn when Cesar’s company faced closure due to circumstances in his home country of Lebanon. However, instead of letting this setback define him, inspired by the Japanese philosophy and culture, Cesar saw it as an opportunity to chase a long-held passion: sushi.

He envisioned Sushicez as more than just a restaurant; he wanted to create a unique experience where people could savor delicious sushi while also learning the art of making it themselves. This innovative concept offered a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to explore the world of sushi making. This endeavour isn’t about making sushi – it’s about following your passion and truly enjoying each moment.

Cesar’s unwavering determination fuelled  his success in this new venture. He dove headfirst into the culinary arts, specifically focusing on mastering the art of sushi making. Over time, he honed his skills and knowledge, becoming a true expert in his craft.

Sushicez quickly gained a loyal following, attracting those who craved not only delectable sushi but also the chance to learn how it’s made. Cesar has hosted over 2,000 guests, providing them with a unique and interactive dining experience. He has also shared his passion and expertise with over 1,000 attendees through sushi-making classes at Kitchen Lab.

Cesar’s dedication was never confined by restaurant walls. He organized events and team-building activities throughout Lebanon, introducing even more people to the joys of creating and savoring sushi as well sharing different Japanese philosophy with it. He even created “Sushicakes by Sushicez,” a delightful spin on the traditional sushi experience.
